रिटायर हो जाएगा विंडोज XP, बैंकों के सिक्योरिटी सिस्टम को खतरा

अगर तेजी नहीं दिखाई गई तो आज से ठीक 100 दिन बाद बैंक में रखा आपका पैसा असुरक्षित हो सकता है. 8 अप्रैल 2014 से माइक्रोसॉफ्ट अपने 12 साल पुराने ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम 'विंडोज एक्सपी' को सपोर्ट करना बंद कर देगा. इसके बाद विंडोज एक्सपी पर एंटी वायरस प्रोटेक्शन काम नहीं करेगा.

मंगलवार को माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के इस ऐलान के बाद कई भारतीय बैंकों के सिक्योरिटी सिस्टम पर बहुत बड़े खतरे के दस्तक देने की आशंका पैदा हो गई है. सबसे बड़ा खतरा सरकारी बैंकों और वित्तीय संस्थानों पर मंडरा रहा है.

40-70 फीसदी कंप्यूटर चल रहे एक्सपी पर

माइक्रोसॉफ्ट की ओर से कराए गए एक अध्ययन के मुताबिक, भारत में सरकारी बैंकों में 40 से 70 फीसदी कंप्यूटर विंडोज एक्सपी पर ही चलाए जा रहे हैं. इस रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 34,115 सरकारी बैंकों की शाखाओं पर इसका सीधा असर पड़ सकता है.

विंडोज 7 और विंडोज 8 आने के बाद भी भारत में व्यावसायिक रूप से इस्तेमाल होने वाले करीब 30 फीसदी कंप्यूटर विंडोज एक्सपी पर चलाए जा रहे हैं. ऐसे में अगर समय रहते वैकल्पिक इंतजाम नहीं किए गए तो बैंकों के सिस्टम को हैक किए जाने की आशंका बढ़ सकती है.

स्टेट बैंक के 1.35 लाख कंप्यूटर्स के लिए खतरा

अंग्रेजी अखबार 'द इंडियन एक्सप्रेस' में छपी खबर के मुताबिक, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट इंडिया के जनरल मैनेजर अमरीश गोयल ने बताया कि 45 भारतीय बैंक अब भी एक्सपी का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं. उनके मुताबिक, 'स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के 1.35 लाख कंप्यूटर अब भी एक्सपी पर चल रहे हैं. लेकिन अच्छी बात है कि उनके 40-50 फीसदी कंप्यूटर विंडोज 7 पर चल रहे हैं. हालांकि कई बैंक अपने ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम अपग्रेड भी कर रहे हैं. इंडियन बैंक ने विंडोज 7 अपना लिया है और कैनरा बैंक भी बहुत जल्द यह काम पूरा करने वाला है.'

बढ़ जाएगा एक्सपी के रखरखाव का खर्च

जो बैंक अपना ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम अपग्रेड नहीं करेंगे उन्हें आने वाले समय में भारी दिक्कतों से दो-चार होना पड़ सकता है. उनके लिए कंप्यूटर्स के रखरखाव का खर्च कई गुना बढ़ सकता है. एक अध्ययन के मुताबिक, यह खर्च 19,000 रुपये तक हो सकता है जबकि ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम अपग्रेड करने में सिर्फ 6,000 रुपये का खर्च आएगा.

सरकारी प्रशासन भी विंडोज एक्सपी पर काम करते रहने के खतरों का अंदाजा हो चुका है. इसका सबूत है इंडियन कंप्यूटर एमरजेंसी रिस्पॉन्स टीम (CERT-In) की ओर से 25 जून को जारी की गई एडवाइजरी. इसमें लिखा है, 'विंडोज एक्सपी का इस्तेमाल कर रहे लोग और संस्थाएं अप्रैल 2014 से पहले-पहले अपना ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम अपग्रेड कर लें.
